Fall Shades of Meaning Packet!

It has been such a long time since I have officially blogged. I made a super cute packet about Shades of Meaning. You can find it on my TpT Store. Here are some pictures of it.My students had so much fun doing the activity as well as making their leaves for the display outside our room. For the display I let them draw a word (adjective or verb) out of a basket and they got to use the iPad (Thesaurus) to pick stronger words. It was a blast.

News!

So this summer I did some planning and making items to use in my classroom. I thought I was doing pretty good and ahead of the game. I started back on Thursday and I was getting my classroom organized and set up. Right as I was about to leave our CST came to my room and told me that I will have the accelerated class and will be teaching mostly 3rd grade standards. I'm so excited!!! That was absolutely fabulous news. The only thing is now I'm needing to learn & make items for the new standards. Did I mention how excited I am? I already have so many ideas running through my mind about all the fun activities that I will be able to do with my friends. This classroom will mostly be hands on learning and student discovery. Now I'm even more excited to start this school year!

Clipboards

I got tired of looking at my old & ugly clipboards so I revamped them with duck tape. 

They look so much better. The sunglasses are my favorite. 

No More Whistles!

Hello friends, I'm tired of listening to whistles and months ago my hubby bought a Duck Commander duck call. Our daughters are constantly blowing it, as well as my husband. I finally had to hide it bc I got tired of listening to it. then I was trying to figure out a better use for this item, bc my hubby hasn't taken up duck hunt...yet. So during recess one day towards the end if the last school year I decided that the duck call is what I'm going to use to call my students in from recess. 

So starting this year off right I'm attaching the duck call to a lanyard and using it. 

It is going to be an awesome year!! 

Business Card

Hello, I went to my classroom for the first time today since May. It was a mess! I started to put it in order but was so overwhelmed my ADHD took over. I'm hoping to get more things straightened out tomorrow before I have to officially return on Thursday. I made some business cards for my parents to take with them on our Welcome Back Meet & Greet. I also made my Welcome letter & Welcome PowerPoint. I'm getting excited if you can't tell.
